Local Secretary / President
Rhonda Jockisch grew up in the Manito area. She left to earn her Bachelor's degree at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She returned to Pekin in 1994. She has worked in both hospital and retail pharmacies. She is currently working as a retail pharmacist. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children and 3 cats.. Her hobbies include reading fiction and non-fiction, playing the piano and organ, and role-playing/adventure video games. Rhonda has been the Local Secretary since November 2014.
Assistant Local Secretary
I joined Mensa in 1981, while I was living in South Carolina. Through Mensa Singles SIG, I met my husband, Mike, & moved to Champaign IL in 1986. We enjoy going to various Mensa events. During covid, we missed the bad jokes & puns so much that we got hooked on watching Svengoolie (Saturday nights on MeTV). Like most Mensans, I read a lot & I'm curious about almost everything.
Ombudsperson
After growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, David Gill attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, receiving both a B.S. in mathematics and his M.D. He has practiced medicine throughout central Illinois for the past 30+ years, both as a family physician and as an emergency medicine physician. He has been the medical director of a hospice for the past four years. He and his wife reside in McLean, Illinois, along with two dogs and two cats. In his spare time, David enjoys baseball, old movies and old movie theaters, book clubs, and chess.
Treasurer
Rhonda Peek is from a Mensa family, both of her children, as well as her sister and niece are Ms. She is addicted to volunteering and in addition to being treasurer of Heart of Illinois Mensa, so is Hospitality Chair for the 2019 Phoenix AG as well as Co-Chair of Hospitality for Chicago Area Mensa's HalloweeM for the last 5 years. You can find her at many RGs lending a hand in hospitality. In her spare time, she might practice a little law.

Jason Mierek has little recollection of his life before working at U of I-Urbana-Champaign. In graduate school he studied anthropology, religion, and philosophy. In addition to being a mensan, he is a Freemason, novice mystic, and all-around weirdo who enjoys reading, travelling, gardening, gaming, collaging, brewing beer, watching movies, recording with his band Foreign Accent, stimulating conversations and hanging out with friends and family. He is rumored to have a wicked sense of humor..

Xena Tisdale is a graduate of Illinois State University. She works part-time at a YWCA daycare center. She enjoys going to museums and restaurants with the local Mensa group and engaging in personal hobbies, which include artistic gaming, crafts, and studying the anthropology of the 20th century.
Founding Officer Emeritus Extraordinaire
A secretive fellow, Jack Walsh has yet to write a bio. What we know though, he is a dedicated Mensan who has frequently stepped up to keep our group moving forward. Jack has retired from official Mensan duties, but we are very grateful that he is available for consultation whenever needed.

Steve Tisdale holds a degree from Illinois State University. Holds down the fort as a rare stay at home dad. Reading interests include studies of ancient texts or human history and a wide variety of modern information that can be related to ancient cultures. (Information Overload!!!) Musical preferences include Baroque and Classical styles or similarly trained 5-piece rock bands with vocal styles similar to opera.
